What’s in store for 2010 at RunNat?
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus,
Welcome to 2010 – a year that will surely see more challenges for our nation. The need to pray remains stronger than ever! Let us rise to the challenge and take to the roads of Malaysia once again! RunNat 2010 will continue where we left off in October 2009. We will lift up our voices to God as we run through the arteries of our cities-our roads.
We are going one step further in 2010. The Global Day of Prayer Malaysia (GDOP) 2010 will be working with churches throughout the country to promote “90-Days of Blessings” – Christians getting involved in community service. RunNat runners can help by getting friends and family members to support their run by contributing to selected charitable organizations and activities. More details on that later. Change begins with us. We can make a difference to the communities around us so let’s do our part in nation building!
Speak to those around you and you will find some who are despondent with our nation’s state of affairs and others who see a roadmap to better things. It is our prayer that all of us who know and love the Lord Jesus Christ will learn to embrace the latter. We are reminded of what the Bible tells us – In all things God works for the good of those who love Him who are called according to His purposes (Rom 8:28). God never lies so this statement holds the promise of good things to come. Let us as His children take heart to remember the part that we play in that promise – to love Him and come within His purposes for our lives. On that note we wish you all a year where you discover the purposes of God for your lives and find the strength to live it!
See you at the starting line!
