Dear Runners and Friends

We just finished the NECF 40 Days of Fast and Prayer for our nation Malaysia. It ended with a wonderful celebration of praise and worship at FGA on the 30th of August. Drummers for Christ gave an amazing display of “drum” unity when they opened the evening up. This was quickly followed by enthusiastic worship by the FGA Chinese church who truly rocked the house! The congregation representing different churches, with one voice shouted out the Merdeka Proclamation on the 7 Realms of Influence (Family, Media, Education, Religion, Commerce, Entertainment and Government). Ps Philip Mantofa reminded us that winning over Malaysia will take more than just bended knees. We need to put faith into action for we know that faith without action is dead (James 2:17).

One “40-Days” ends and another begins! We are just 40 days away from 10/10! Let’s begin our preparations for the event, if we haven’t already done so. If you want to know how, keep reading our emails, the blogsite and the forum. Over the next 40 days, we will give you the tools you will need to help you be an effective prayer warrior on the road.

We will start off with our theme for the prayer run. It is taken from John 10:10: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life and may have it abundantly”.

As you pray in your quiet moments, ask God to reveal to you what this verse is telling you. What does John mean when he uses the phrase abundant life? Think about it. Please also do the following:

1. Pray for all those involved in the run-for unity of purpose, for strength and for protection
2. Pray for the organisers-for wisdom, protection and annointing
3. Train-make time to train for the run. We believe 5 km is within most people’s ability to run but it requires some degree of training. Join us at our training clinics on Saturday.

Some of you may feel the burden to fast as well. Others may want to encourage their friends who are not running to keep us in prayer. Do what you must to keep the fire burning and the transformation process going!
