It is Tough, But God is With Us

What could possibly happened when I had mild flu and fever the day before, and the situation got better, then went into the diarrhea….. Almost thought I was about to call Sam Wong, the area manager and William, the team manager that I might not be able to make it for the run.
I slept at 1am this morning and woke up at 3:40am when encountered the first round of diarrhea. Second round at 5:00am, about 1 hour and 20 minutes before the Run for the Nation 2009. I began to pray and ask God for His intervention, saying, “If it is Your will, let it be done. If this is not Your will, let it be so.”
While I was about to give up, I heard a gentle voice from Retna, “Just bring a spare shorts, in the event you need to change.”
With that comforting words, I went. Sam Wong, was already at the site waiting for the runners, so as the rest of the runners – Emily, Joel and Galvin.
We were given the prayer card in advance as the earlier team’s prayer card was in Tamil. At 6:20am, with the blessing prayer from the parents, we started the run. There were about 3 rolling hills for us to climb, with the younger runners, they covered them pretty well. I was given the privilege to being ‘push’ through these hills. My mind pops a question to me, “Why didn’t you increase the radient while running on the treadmill?” Well, before practice, I have gone into the actual thing.
One of the rolling hill that we were climbing. Since I have reflective shirt, shoe and cat eye, I ran on the outer lane. The long and straight road sometimes could be a challenge, mainly when it is hard to judge the end. With great navigation from Galvin, we went on the right route without much fuss. Besides praying according on the card, we also covered the area that we passed by.

Approaching the finishing line before passing the prayer card to the next team. The morning breeze has been a great assurance from God that He is with us. He also watches us with friendly drivers, cheerful neighborhood that mostly still asleep.
We completed the pray and run in 45mins, about 5mins longer. We praise the Lord for giving us this opportunity to be His servant.
