Faith Without Action Is Dead

So is running without prayer. Though a short amen in agreement with the other runners in a team will indeed make a difference as the Bible says ‘For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them’.

It’s easy to assume that there are many Christians out there who will run for the nation and you can effortlessly slip out of the picture by thinking that this if not your call. You’re underestimating God. Our God is a micro-focus God. In Matthew 10:29-30, the Lord says, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?  Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.  And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” Every individual makes a difference in His mission. No one will be missed out in His plan.

It’s easy to sit by the track and watch the runners run by as you give thanks to God that His servants are not few. But don’t we forget Luke 10:2 that says “He told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’” There can never be too many runners; there can only be you.

It’s easy to give excuses to not be part of this mission – “I can’t run and pray at the same time, I’ll gasp for air.” (Training will be provided prior to the Event Day), “I’m too old to run.” (The oldest runner in 2007 was 66 years old), “I don’t know how to pray.” (Prayer card will be provided to guide you through), etc. Do excuses really matter in the presence of God? Remember that you are not the highlight of the run; Jesus is.

So get on your feet, give up your excuses and be determined to join RunNat. Because this is not just another marathon activity; this is Spiritual Sports. And we are off on a good start; we are running in God’s team. And God needs as many runners as possible to cover the nation and bring revival to the land.
