Photo Story of RunNat Runners

If you are considering to be a Runner in RunNat2010 and want to know exactly how it works in the simplest way, this photo story is assembled to tell you just that. It covers from the start of your run till you pass the baton (prayer card) to the next team. We hope that you will be inspired to sign up as Runners after this!

The Power of Prayer Runs

The Bible says in Matthew 18:19 & 20“Again, I (Jesus) tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” Because of His Promise, the power of God flows through our prayer to make a difference in the matters in which we intercede on behalf of our country.

There is transforming power through prayer runs. As we head down the streets with prayer, communities are being transformed. It’s NOT an act of boasting how much we are praying for the country, rather it is about ushering the presence of God through each step we take on the streets into the communities around the area. As we intercede, we are ushering God’s presence to enter our land in the spiritual realms to bring revival to our beloved country.

Being A Runner For God

Everyone is called to be saved by God’s Grace, but not everyone is called to serve Him fulltime in churches and Christian organisations because God has a unique and great plan for all of us individually. However, everyone is called to pray and intercede for the lost. Whether you’re at home, in the marketplace, at school or even on the road, we are all called to pray. And RunNat is all about just that: Prayer & Intercession.

It is essential for us to win our battles in the heavenlies first through prayer and intercession. Unless we battle the war through prayer for things and people in the heavenly realms, we will not win them on earth because Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Thus we need to make our battle in prayer before we act out the things we have been praying for.

What Is RunNat All About

RunNat… RunNat… RunNat… Not only had the sportsmen been talking about it since the first RunNat event in 2007, even God’s people are excited about it because Run For The Nation is the first-of-its-kind prayer event that combines the passion for running and the desire to intercede for our beloved nation. It’s the one thing that everyone can do together as family of God despite our age differences, background divergence and various personalities. In prayer, we are one in Christ. And through prayer, we can make a difference.

Run For The Nation (friendly known as RunNat) is a single morning running event that sees Christians praying as they run throughout selected areas in the city or town where the event is held. The Runners are grouped into teams of three and each Team is required to cover a 5km run of a preselected route passing by homes, schools, commercial areas, government buildings, religious sites and other places of interest. As the Team runs, one will lead in prayer while the other two will agree. With the aim to cover most grounds, the Run adopts the relay style by using Prayer Cards in replacement of batons.
